BE AWESOME TO EVERYONE & EVERYONE WILL BE AWESOME TO YOU.
Being the son of a professional photographer and a designer jeweler, I have always been drawn towards visually creative outlets. I chose to build upon my creative interests and earned a degree in graphic and web design. I hit the ground hard right away, working at a small agency in Sheboygan, WI named Dynamic Develop, later turned to just Dynamic Inc.
At Dynamic I was exposed to high level clients such as Kohler, Insinkerator, Tiki Brand and many other corporations around Wisconsin. Being at a smaller agency was a great opportunity for me to experience a breadth of projects. I was a "Jack of all trades, master of none" employee. You needed a video cut, sure, no problem. What? You would like some photography work done? sure, I got it. Wait what? You want Print and web design? Sure, I got your back. Hold up! You want an animation done? Fine, but I'm not learning how to code or be a developer ok? cool. I owe a lot of my attitude in this creative field to the Dynamic team. The motto was to do "awesome work" and have fun doing it, and that is exactly what I did for almost 3 years. When you work with awesome people, awesome work is accomplished.
Moving forward, I found myself being tested and needed to move on from Dynamic. As luck would have it, I scored again. Mercury Marine, the number one global marine engine manufacturer asked me to join their Global Branding team after an extensive interview process. Again, I have found myself in a role where I am able to provide creative direction for print design, digital design, capture and edit film, photograph and retouch images and much more. I can honestly say I love what I do for a living, and once again, I work with awesome people doing awesome work.
My creative outlet is photography. Going through the process of planning out the image, retouching the image, and giving the image a purpose is relaxing for me. Not to mention I love the challenge of lighting. Whether it be in a studio or outdoors, lighting is, and can be a challenge in problem solving, but the results can be very rewarding.
